Ramps & Slopes
- Are ramps at least 36″ wide between the two handrails to allow for convenient wheelchair travel?
- Does the ramp rise no more than 1″ per foot? A ramp that rises vertically 7″ should be at least 7 feet long.
- Do interior ramps have top, middle and bottom landings that are level and at least 60″ long to allow for adequate maneuvering and resting space? Read more
Rollator

What’s the difference between a rollator and a walker? A Rollator is basically a walker with four wheels. Many rollators have built in seats and other extra features. Rollators have brakes and the front wheels usually swivel making it easier to change direction when walking. Most rollators will either have 6″ wheels or 8″ wheels. The larger wheels are better if you will be maneuvering over rough surfaces or outdoors. Read more
